Frequently Asked Questions
How can I tell that the ZON system is sending IR to the device?
IR traffic out of the ZIR-232 is signaled by the status LED on the module's face. When idle, the status LED is steady green. When the module is sending IR (or serial data), the status LED is steady red for the duration of the command.
You can also observe the status LEDs on the ZON router and the ZIM-4 input modules. These flash rapidly between green and red while there is IR being sent to the IR output on each of these devices.
Alternately, you can use an IR flasher (or bug) that has a visible LED in the emitter, so that you can see it flash when it's sending IR.
