The setup code provided for my device does not work. What can I do?
You should first check that your device is properly connected to the ZON system. The device should be connected to a ZIM-4 input module, and also be connected to the ZIM-4's IR output jack with a standard IR bug, or flasher.
If you are sure that your device is properly connected, you should then check that you have the proper placement of the IR bug on the device. Often times, the exact placement of the bug on the device is critical to the IR receiver on the device. On many devices, the IR receiver is hidden behind plexi-glass. Use a flashlight to aid in locating the actual receiver chip by shining the light through the plexi-glass. Mount the IR bug directly over the receiver chip.
In the event that the above items are not a factor to your particular situation, it is likely that the registered setup code in the library is wrong or out of date for your device. You will need to learn the IR keys that you need for your system's configuration.
