Frequently Asked Questions

Can two identical source devices be discretely controlled?

Yes. Each source device connects to the ZON system via it's own ZIM-4 input module. Input modules connect to the ZON router in pairs (e.g., ZIMs 1-2, 3-4, 5-6 and 7-8). If you have identical source devices in your system, you should place them on different pairs (e.g., ZIM #1 and ZIM #2). This will keep the IR commands discrete.

For ease of setup, while you are using ZON Config to program your ZIR-232, IR that is generated from testing keys and scripts is sent to all IR outputs in the system. This is only while the software is running.
