Oxmoor's ZON Audio Wins Prestigious Honor From Consumer Electronics Association
ZON wins Mark of Excellence award for best Whole-House Distributed Audio/Video System
For Immediate Release (12 March 2003)
(Birmingham, AL) – Oxmoor Corporation, LLC today announced that it had been honored by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), at the organization's Mark of Excellence Awards dinner in Orlando, Florida.
Oxmoor's leading edge ZON (Pronounced "ZONE") Audio System was recognized with a Mark of Excellence Award in the Whole-House Distributed Audio/Video System category.
"I'm truly gratified by the recognition afforded by CEA," said Lynn McCroskey, Oxmoor's chairman and CEO. "The Mark of Excellence is one of our industry's most prestigious honors and I am thrilled for the team here at Oxmoor that made it possible."
CEA's Mark of Excellence Awards recognize the finest achievements in home automation and networking. ZON Audio was chosen from a large field of nominees that had been whittled to a list of eleven finalists.
The unique style of the ZON controller and input module is the work of the award-winning industrial design firm, Innoworks of Atlanta. Innoworks developed the unique ZON look to integrate easily into almost any residential environment and with its all-digital architecture, ZON provides systems integrators and end-users with new features and enhancements not presently available from other products on the market. ZON is the leading 100% digital whole-house audio system on the market today.
"Having a true digital-to-digital product in the whole house audio field has definitely created a new industry standard," added McCroskey. "We are delighted that ZON was chosen by a very knowledgeable group of industry experts for its innovation and forward-thinking technical design."
For the integrator, ZON is easy to design and install and is well suited for structured wiring plans. For end users, ZON offers embedded capabilities that simplify user interface control and management of the home audio environment and unlike analog systems or hybrids that combine elements of analog and digital, there is no degradation of sound quality or volume levels, even at the most distant points in a home.
