Oxmoor's ZAC-60 ZON Audio Controller Wins Prestigious Honor From Custom Retailer
ZAC-60 is EXC!TE Award Winner at CEDIA 2003
For Immediate Release (5 September 2003)
(Birmingham, AL) – The honors continue to roll in for Oxmoor Corporation's ZON Audio. The company today announced that it had been honored by Custom Retailer magazine, at the Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association (CEDIA) trade show in Indianapolis with an EXC!TE Award for excellence in custom installed technologies and electronics.
The ZAC-60 controller which serves to power sound output in each listening zone of a whole house ZON (Pronounced "ZONE") Audio System was recognized as the industry's best distributed audio solution. Oxmoor Corporation was commended in the award for its contribution to the growth of the custom consumer electronics industry.
"It's truly an honor to receive recognition for your work when it comes from people that really understand what you're doing," said Lynn McCroskey, Oxmoor's chairman and CEO. "The EXC!TE Award is a prestigious achievement for our team and I am thrilled for everyone here at Oxmoor that helped make ZON audio a reality and for our dealers who can share this validating news with their customers and prospects."
The unique style of the ZON controller is the work of the award-winning industrial design firm, Innoworks of Atlanta. Innoworks developed the unique ZON look to integrate easily into almost any residential environment and with its all-digital architecture, ZON provides systems integrators and end-users with new features and enhancements not available from other products on the market.
"We've set the industry standard with ZON's all digital architecture," added McCroskey. "It's a remarkable combination of high technology that's so simple to operate. Even the most technology-averse individuals are comfortable using the full range of its extensive capabilities."
For the integrator, ZON is easy to design and install and is well suited for structured wiring plans and retrofits. For end users, ZON offers embedded capabilities that simplify user interface control and management of the home audio environment and unlike analog systems or hybrids that combine elements of analog and digital, there is no degradation of sound quality or volume levels, even at the most distant points in a home.
